Vape flavours are made using chemicals. Scroll to see the damage these flavouring chemicals can do.
Vanilla
Made with vanillin, one of the aldehyde family of chemicals that are toxic to human cells. This common flavourant can cause serious respiratory irritation.
Cinnamon
Made with cinnamaldehyde, another aldehyde that can cause the cells in your body to die faster than normal.
SWEET AND BUTTERY
It’s diacetyl, a chemical that can be created by flavouring ingedients and cause inflamation and scarring in the lungs.
Fruit flavours
They’re actually benzaldehyde, an aldehyde compound found in most fruit flavours. It can cause inflammation that narrows your airways, making it hard to breathe.
Mint or Menthol
Menthol flavourants release more microparticles and appear to be particularly harmful to lungs.
